Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has ordered immediate cancellation of all the transfers of teachers in education department made during the last three months and said that his government has stopped all kinds of political interference especially in Education, Police and Health departments adding that the new merit based system setup by PTI government was being let perform fully for effective service delivery.
He also ordered inquiry into expenditure of 1350 million rupees disbursed for 5242 mosques and Madrassas and directed the Anti-Corruption authorities to immediately arrest the contractors and responsible government official who are allegedly involved in misappropriation of an amount of 15.3 million rupees which was released for levelling the land of Mega Park in Mardan.
The Provincial Minister for Education Muhammad Atif Khan, Advisor to CM for Social Welfare Dr. Mehr Taj Roghani, members of the Provincial Assembly from Mardan Zahid Durrani, Iftikhar Mashwani, Obaidullah Mayar and Tufail Anjum, Director Anti Corruption, Chief Executive PESCO and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over unprecedented delay in delivery of Power transformers despite the fact that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had deposited the money for said transformers someone and half year ago. Stressing WAPDA to fulfil its responsibility and commitment for provision of new transformers to the provincial government and asked them to revive the closed workshops for repairing the defected transformers of district Mardan as well as those lying in other parts of the province.
He also sought detail of emergency transformers installed permanently at various places and asked the authorities concerned to place the emergency transformers in reserved stock only so that they could be replaced immediately in case any fault occurs in any transformer.
During the meeting the Chief Minister directed to expedite work on the projects relating to sanitation, Jail Park, beautification and sports in Mardan and also reviewed the likelihood of shifting of water sports project from Sardaryab to Mardan Mega Park. Talking to the delegations of Mardan and Upper Dir the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak disclosed that PTI will contest the forthcoming local bodies' elections in coalition with Jamaat-e-Islami under seat adjustment arrangements.
