Unknown armed men gunned down Samiullah Afridi, lawyer for Dr Shakil Afridi, who allegedly helped US Marines in tracing and killing al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad. Police said that unidentified gunmen targeted Samiullah Afridi in Aslam Dheri locality in Mithra area of Peshawar on Monday.
The deceased had returned from abroad after three months and he was facing life threats from militants for serving as legal advisor to Shakil Afridi. The attackers managed to escape after committing the murder. Police after registering a case against unknown assailants have started investigation.
