Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Faisal Arab Tuesday said that vacant post of judges will be filled on merit soon, so as to provide hurdle-free justice to the people. He said legal education programme will be started in Khairpur like Karachi for recruitment of skilled judges.
Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of District Bar Association, Khairpur and meeting with the judges of Khairpur, Justice Faisal Arab said that a mechanism is being formulated for the speedy trial in all the courts of the province. He urged the young lawyers to work hard with honesty so that they can prove as good judges.
He said that a Chief Justice Camp will be established at the Sukkur High Court, for matters related to Services Tribunal, Courts and the office of the Chief Justice to provide relief to people of this area. He announced the establishment of Banking Court in Khairpur.
Earlier Chief Justice SHC Justice Faisal Arab administered the oath to the office-bearers of District Bar Association Khairpur. Addressing the ceremony President District Bar Association (DBA) Khairpur highlighted the problems faced by lawyers of the district. He said more than 1300 lawyers are working in all the eight talukas of the district, Khairpur is a big district, he added.
The traditional Sindhi Ajrak and Topee were presented to the Chief Justice Sindh High Court by all eight taluka presidents of the Lawyers Association. The Chief Justice also planted a tree at Gymkhana Club and Session Court premises and attended a reception hosted in his honour by DBA Khairpur.
