The United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have recovered 13.2kg heroin on the information shared with them by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
An official of the ANF said that the information passed by ANF intelligence to UAE authorities led to the seizure of 13.2kg heroin from the possession of a Spanish woman Sandra Esperaza Tinio Rozerio, a member of Drug Trafficking Organisation. The UAE authorities arrested the Spanish lady who planned to smuggle the heroin to Spain, he said.
He said that the ANF arrested a Nigerian national namely Nwabueze Kingley at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad on suspicion of gulped heroin filled capsules. Following the accused confessed of having 50 heroin capsules in his stomach, during the investigation. The accused intended to fly for Dubai by PIA Flight No.PK-211, he said.
The official said that the ANF Lahore arrested a drug carrier namely Khalil Khan, resident of Kohat near Niazi Bus Stand Bund Road, Lahore and recovered 2.3kg Opium from his possession. The accused came from Peshawar to Lahore for delivery of drugs to a local peddler, he said.
