Founder, President & CEO Tameer Microfinance Bank, Nadeem Hussain was awarded the "Thought Leader Award" in the 8th Mobile Commerce conference 2015 held in Karachi recently. The award recognized the efforts of Nadeem Hussain with regards to the development of the branchless banking segment in the industry, by launching the first mobile-based financial service product "Easypaisa" in collaboration with Telenor Pakistan. Tameer Microfinance Bank was the first bank in Pakistan to be granted the branchless banking license.
Commenting on the award, Nadeem Hussain said: "I am humbled by the recognition and thank the judges for this honour. Tameer Bank team has worked selflessly ever since we launched in 2005 with the vision to be Pakistan's first nation-wide, private sector, commercially sustainable microfinance bank, and has made commendable progress.-PR
