The welfare organisation Sheikh Social Welfare Association on Friday held a rally in support of the Sindh Rangers and the Pakistan Army. According to the details, the rally was conducted from the Bunder Road to the Press Club. The rally was led by Abdul Kareem Sheikh and Aftab Ahmed Sheikh along with several others.
While addressing the participants of the rally, the leaders said that the Pakistan Army's efforts to restore peace in the country in the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif are admirable.
They urged the Director General (DG) Rangers and the army to conduct an operation in downtown Sindh like the operation in Karachi to minimise crime rate. They said that thousands of people die every year due to target killings, ransom kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
People possess illegal weapons in downtown Sindh and an operation is needed there to arrest them like it has been done in Karachi, they added.
