Partial strike was observed in different cities and towns of interior Sindh on Saturday to protest against the failure of the provincial authorities to arrest the assassins of JSQM leaders Maqsood Qureshi and Salman Wadhu. The Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (JSQM) had given a shutter-down strike throughout Sindh for Saturday.
Business activities in Larkana, Sukkur, Nawab Shah, Khairpur, Padidan,Kashmore, Jacobabad, Thul, Garhi Khairu, Naushahro Feroze, Moro, Mehrabpur, Kandiyaro, Bhariya and other towns were affected.
During the strike, petrol pumps remained closed while the traffic was thin. The police increased its patrol to maintain law and order.
