The Mohajir Rabita Council (MRC) Executive Committee has said the ongoing targeted operation meant to curb crimes and eliminate criminals was deliberately diverted against the Mohajirs under which the genocide of Mohajir was being conducted.
The EC also vehemently condemned the state-owned genocide of Mohajir and said it was 1992 when a similar operation was planned during the Nawaz Government seemingly against 72 big fish but was changed into a military operation against Mohajirs and subsequent to that military operation, thousands of the innocent Mohajirs were extra-judicially murdered and the sanctity of residential premises of Mohajirs was grossly violated and Mohajirs were publicly humiliated.
The MRC EC said again in 2015, the targeted operation was deliberately diverted against the Mohajirs and as was done in 1971, Mohajirs were being subjected to brutal treatment like they were aliens.
The bias of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, establishment against the Mohajirs had once again been revived through planned operation against the Mohajirs through the paramilitary force, Rangers, which was condemnable and shameful.
The committee said the Mohajirs had demanded for their separate Mohajir province for which they were now subjected to brutal killings of Mohajirs and arrest of thousands of their young children and even elderly. Till date, thousands of innocent Mohajirs had been murdered extra-judicially on the pretext of targeted operation.
The committee deplored that the human rights organisation were silent in the country and abroad over the genocide of the Mohajirs while Rangers were arresting the innocent Mohajirs after barricading their colonies. Those arrested were subjected to vehement and inhuman physical torture.
The MRC EC demanded of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to play his role for prevention of genocide of the innocent Mohajirs and take steps for saving them as they were loyal and patriotic citizens of the country. The committee also demanded of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Asia Watch to come forward for saving the innocent Mohajirs from being collectively murdered by the law enforcement agencies of the country and raise voice at all international forums against that injustice.
