Message from Air Chief Marshal, Sohail Aman, NI (M), Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force
The 23rd of March, 1940, undoubtedly stands as a defining moment in our history, as it culminated in the formulation of the historic Two-Nation Theory that led to creation of Pakistan in 1947. I feel great pleasure in extending my warm and sincere greetings to all the countrymen on this occasion.
While rejoicing our independence, we should never forget that our ancestors offered great sacrifices to earn freedom. Therefore, today, having the liberty to pursue our religious, social and political ideals as an independent nation, let us display complete solidarity, let there be no gaps for anyone to intrude our cohesive bonding, and let our oneness conquer all impediments. Our great Quaid also highlighted this aspect in 1943, in his address:
"I am confident that nothing is going to shake us or frighten us. We shall march on and face all the obstacles and march through fire, trials, and tribulations. In our onward march there will be setbacks and sufferings, but we will not flinch or falter. " (August 1943)
My Dear Countrymen! By the grace of Almighty, today the Pakistan Air Force hasthe finest professionals andstate-of the-art equipment on its inventory to defend aerial frontiers of Pakistan. Thus, be assured that the aerial defence of our country is impregnable as always. Though in the current scenario, the extremist elements are trying to disturb our internal peace, but PAF, fully supported by the entire nation is ever ready to respondto all challenges. With a firm conviction, I guarantee that the Pakistan Air Force will always befittingly fulfil its noble mission of guarding our beloved motherland.
