After getting go ahead signal from government for Pak-Bangladesh cricket series in Bangladesh in mid April, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is learnt to have sending its security team for reviewing the venues of matches and submitting its security report ahead of Team Pakistan tour.
The PCB security team would review security arrangements to be provided by Bangladesh authorities in the forthcoming series, the sources said.
Pakistan cricket team will be touring Bangladesh in April for a full series involving all three formats. The tour, scheduled to begin on April 15, will involve two Tests, three ODIs and a T20.
The sources claim that the PCB security team will be meeting the Pakistan high commission to further assess the arrangements there. Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna are expected venues for matches for this series, the sources add.
It may be noted that Pakistan had toured Bangladesh in 2011, and in accordance with the established principles of reciprocity, it was Bangladesh's turn to tour Pakistan - which despite a written commitment in 2012, BCB did not honour. In principle, this tour belongs to Pakistan and both the PCB and BCB are finalising modalities.
On the other hand, PCB officials are engaged in consultation for deciding new ODO skipper of Pakistan cricket team.
