Pacer Wahab Riaz who showed his class in bowling during the Cricket World Cup 2015 quarter-final against Australia in Adelaide has invited cricket legend Brian Lara to visit Pakistan. Brian Lara who deeply impressed with Wahab's bowling against Australia said he would love to meet Wahab and termed the ICC's decision to fine him "uncalled for."
He also offered to pay the fine himself. On Tuesday Riaz took to social networking site Twitter saying he was 'honoured' that Brian Lara wanted to meet him. Riaz extended an invitation to Lara and said he would love to be his host.
Wahab Riaz was fined half of his match fee for mocking Australian batsman Shane Watson during their quarter-final match and sending a 'kiss' in the air. Watson was fined only a meager 15% of his match fee.
