Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Ilyas Ghauri and Swiss Business Council (SBC) President Yasmin Peer Mohamed signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday to expand the bilateral trade and investment flows over the next year.
The agreement identifies and develops business and investment opportunities in the respective regions for private and public alliances, develop linkages between investors and businessmen of both countries and the establishment of the Pak-Swiss Facilitation Desk at PBIT to look after trade and investment between Pakistan and Switzerland.
The parties may also jointly arrange relevant investment and trade conferences and seminars for furthering their goals both domestically and internationally.
Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique, Punjab Industries Minister Suleman N Khan, Honorary Counsul of Switzerland Abdul Basit, PBIT Chairman, Mitsubishi Chief Executive Officer Kimihide Ando and Seefam Managing Director Seema Aziz were also present.
