Lions Club Governor Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim welcoming the import of LNG by the government in a record time has termed it as a good omen for the economy and different industrial sectors.
In a statement issued here Friday, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim who is a leading industrialist said it will help generate 1200 mw of cheaper electricity as compared to power generated through furnace oil. He also appreciated terminal constructed by Engro for unloading of LNG and its transport to other parts of the country. He said vessel from Qatar had reached Pakistan in stipulated time carrying LNG which had refuted all the claims of the opposition that it would never reach the country.
