Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police rounded up 566 suspects and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in the ongoing search and strike operation being conducted under National Action Plan (NAP) in the province.
During the operation conducted in different parts of the province, the police recovered 42 Arms and ammunition of different kind and 507 rounds of different bore while 411 houses and 231 hotels were checked during the operation and 7 cases were registered against the violators.
Similarly, during snap checking on 140 check points, 229 suspects were held and recovered 29 Arms of different kind and 191 cartridges of different bore.
Furthermore, in action against illegal Afghans a total of 28 persons were detained on violation and 20 cases were registered against them. Similarly, 8 persons were arrested on illegal use of loudspeaker and 7 loudspeakers were held while 7 cases were registered against the violators.
Security inspections of 421 educational institutions were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up security arrangements.
