Dawood Laurencepur Limited (DLL) on Monday said its wholly-owned subsidiary Tenaga Generasi Limited (TGL) has achieved a financial close. TGL is setting up a 49.5 megawatts wind power generation plant in Sindh province. The project is expected to be operational by 2016.
"The Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) has issued guarantee for the project on behalf of Government of Pakistan," the company said in a notice sent to Karachi and Lahore stock exchanges.
