The Forum of Young Global Leaders announced the Young Global Leaders candidates for 2014 selecting four individuals from Pakistan, who have demonstrated their commitment to serve society. Among them, Abid Butt, CEO e2e Supply Chain Management Ltd is one of the nominees well regarded for his business skills.
Other recipients of this honour are Ayla Majid, the Chief Executive and Nominee Director of CAMCO (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange and the Director Business Advisory at Khalid Majid Rehman, Chartered Accountants and Shamoon Sultan, the owner of the brand, Khaadi.
The forum of Young Global Leaders initiated in 2004 by Professor Klaus Schwab is a multi-stakeholder community comprising of more than 900 target-oriented leaders representing various stakeholder groups and their countries at a global level. Comprising of a diverse and a highly talented pool, it accepts the very best of leaders who have demonstrated their commitment towards the betterment of their respective societies. The entity itself is an independent, non-profit foundation established under the Swiss Government and is an integral part of the World Economic Forum.

Establishing a broad selection process, The Forum of Young Global Leaders welcomes people under 40 years of age. Having an extraordinary record of contribution towards their field with five to fifteen years of professional work experience, the candidate must possess a persistent desire for learning. Not only should she have an outstanding track record of achievements but also must be able to demonstrate the capability to lead at an organizational level.
Post selection, the YGLs are facilitated to complete a 6 year tenure under which they are fully involved in all related researches, meetings and initiatives to give them a wider level exposure characterized by diversity in terms of various industries and nationalities. These Young Global Leaders are guided by proficient teams based in China and Geneva.
