Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has dispelled the impression of a rift between Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, saying that the opponents are misguiding masses by spreading rumours. He said this while talking to newsmen after attending the engineers Get-together organised by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) here at CMC auditorium hall on Thursday.
He said that the party is being strengthened under the dynamic leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The PPP workers and masses are well aware that there are no differences between father and son.
He informed that due to prevailing law and order situation, the schedule of 36th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto has been changed.
All activities will now be held on April 4, 2015 in daylight instead of night of April 3.
The programme will start from morning with recitation of the holy Quran at the mazar of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, followed by distribution of free food among the people at 12 noon.
Besides, the public gathering will begin at 2.00 pm and come to an end at 6:30 pm with collective prayers.
To question about the election to constituency NA- 246 Azizabad, Karachi, Syed Qaim Ali Shah replied that "PPP has not fielded its candidate to contest the bye-election on single seat vacated by Nabeel Gabol and we do not want to enter controversy by fielding a candidate, PPP will not support any candidate in this regard."
He said that PPP is preparing for upcoming local bodies election and will bring its powerful candidates in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
Addressing the Engineers Get-together organised by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that engineers are an important assets of country. They have a big role in development of Pakistan. He urged them to introduce new designs and modern methods for development and bring a good name of their country and nation.
He assured resolution of issues and said that a bill will presented in Sindh Assembly for revising the grades of engineers from 11, 14 grade to 17 grade, vacant posts of 17 Grade for engineers will be filled by Sindh Public Service Commission according to directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. On the occasion Sindh Chief Minister announced an Engineering Colony for them at Ratodero or Naudero.
Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Engineer Syed Abdul Qadir Shah in his speech said that engineers are the pioneers of the nation.
They play a key role in national economy and development of country. He added "we are members of Asia, Pacific, Islamic countries and Washington accord."
He demanded of the provincial government for residential plots for the engineers, technical allowance in big cities of Sindh. He also demanded of the regularisation of employees of National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses (NPIW).
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister and Chairman PEC inaugurated the PEC's information office in Larkana and announced the opening of more offices in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Nawabshah.
Later, Sindh Chief Minister and Chairman PEC distributed the Laptops, UAE tickets, Umrah tickets, shields and other gifts among the members of PEC through lucky draws.
