The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on April 4 across the province to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged to death on April 4, 1979 at the Rawalpindi district jail by the military dictatorship of General Ziaul Haq.

The 36th death anniversary of founding father of PPP Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be observed on April 4. The PPP leadership will address the participants of the anniversary ceremony after recitation of the Holy Quran for the peace of the founding father. However, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will observe the death anniversary in London.
