The hearing of the Benazir Bhutto murder case was adjourned till April 13, due to non-appointment of new judge for the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC). The hearing was called off once again on Monday as ATC Judge Pervaiz Ismail Joiya was transferred to Chakwal whereas no new judge was appointed afterwards.
The previous hearing of the case was held in Adiala jail under Pervaiz Ismail Joiya who ordered the DSP to present the record before the court and issued notice to summon more witnesses in the next hearing.
However, he has been posted as District and Sessions Judge Chakwal now.
Moreover, the appointment of new judge could not be made due to which the hearing was adjourned without any proceedings till April 13.
It is pertinent to mention here that five judges have been changed till date in the Benazir murder case.
