PSO distributors Association (PSODA) South Punjab President Muhammad Inam-ullah Sheikh, General Secretary Malik Falak Sher have drawn the attention of the PSO authorities towards the scarcity of Kerosene oil in Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur divisions for the last two month.
They said that PML-N Government had cut the Kerosene Oil prices considerably to facilitate the consumer of those areas where Natural gas and electricity supply was not available. But PSO has suspended the kerosene oil supply since the rate fallen.
They further said that all the paint factories are lying closed due to non-availability of kerosene oil and hundreds of workers serving in these factories rendered jobless.
Government contractors could not construct the carpeted roads in the area because it was one of the component of coal-tar mixture.
They said that some elements were selling this product in open market instead of supplying to airlines.
They told that there was no sales tax on this product (JP-1) and it is cheaper than Kerosene oil. Taking advantage of this facility, some elements were selling it in open market.
