The Embassy of France in Islamabad is pleased to announce that prodigious French violinist Vadim Tchijik is touring Pakistan. Vadim is performing in Karachi on 6 April, Islamabad on 7April and Lahore on 8 April 2015. Born in November 1975, Vadim started to study violin at the age of six and gave his first concert when he was only eight. He attended and obtained highest honours at the famous Tchaikovsky Central Music School in Moscow, National Superior Conservatory of Music in Lyon and High Conservatory of Music in Cologne.
Vadim is a Professor of violin at the National Conservatory in Issy-les-Moulineaux and gives classes in Europe as well as in Asia. He is also an Artistic Director of the International Music Festival in Hyeres. In 2004, the French magazine "Diapason" dedicates one page to Vadim entitled "Already Maestro."
Prize-winner of many prestigious international violin competitions such as N. Paganini Competition in Genoa, P.I.Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, R. Lipizer Competition in Gorizia; winner of International Competition in Portogruaro (Italy), Juventus Award (by the European Council), N. and L. Boulanger Foundation Award and Natexis Banque Populaire Foundation Award in Paris, O. and V. Ritter Foundation Award in Hamburg and G. Cziffra Foundation Award (France).
He has performed with Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Mexico State Orchestra, North Nederland Symphony Orchestra, Kharkov Philharmonic, Orchestra di Teatro di Genova, Freiburg Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Vasteras Sinfonietta, Ulianovsk Philharmonic, Gunma Chamber Orchestra, Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra, Yaroslavl Philharmonic, Akademik Baskent Orchestra (Ankara), Camerata Coahuila, Plano Symphony Orchestra and many others, conducted by Michel Tabachnik, Naoto Otomo, Anton Nanut, Peter Csaba, Paolo Peloso etc. Vadim Tchijik gives recitals in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, England, Luxembourg, Portugal, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Lebanon, Israel, USA, Japan, Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti and other countries all over the world.-PR
