The Sindh University syndicate has approved the handing over of the physical possession of the plots allotted to the employees of the varsity at Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Staff Housing Scheme. It also sanctioned to allot the plots to the employees of all three centres which are working under the varsity including that of Area Study Centre Far East, Pak Study Centre and Centre of Excellence.
The 191st meeting of syndicate was held under the chair of the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abida Taherani at her office. The newly elected and appointed members including Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Pathan, Dr Arfana Mallah, Umeed Ali Rind, former Justice Deedar Hussain Shah, Mufti Abdul Rehman Memon Thattvi, Kalsoom Chandio, Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Dr Ruqia Aijaz Talpur, Professor Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Dr Altaf Shaikh, PVCs of additional campuses Muhammad Nawaz Narejo, Dr Aslam Parvaiz Memon and Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili.
The syndicate approved the health assurance policy and endorsed group insurance of the employees under the policy of Government of Sindh.
It also reduced the fees of LLM. The meeting allowed appointment of Dr Imdadullah Siddiqui and Yasmeen Yousif Pardesi as chairpersons of departments of geology and political science respectively.
