Pakistan on Friday summoned top Afghan diplomat and conveyed serious concerns over the killing of five Pakistani citizens by militants in Afghanistan. "The Afghan Deputy Head of Mission was called to Foreign Office, and handed over a demarche, conveying Pakistan's serious concern over the brutal killing of five Pakistani nationals in Afghanistan," said Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam.
According to her, the government of Afghanistan has been requested to hold an investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. "Our deepest sympathies and condolences go to the families of the victims," she added.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also condemned the killing of the five Pakistani labourers who were reportedly kidnapped by the militants two months back. The Prime Minister has also urged the Afghan government to provide justice to the deceased.
