President Mamnoon Hussain presided over a meeting of Vice Chancellors of different universities at State Guest House here on Friday. Vice Chancellors of 20 different universities participated in the meeting. The President called for review in curriculum of all the subjects taught at universities. "The revised curriculum must relate education to the necessities of society and modern life", said the President.
He invited innovative ideas from the universities for improving the tax network in the country. "The education in our schools, colleges and universities should inculcate self realisation in the students so that they could not only work for progress and prosperity of country but also avoid corrupt practices", said President Mamnoon.
While discussing with the vice chancellors of universities, the President said that in our country the graduates and post graduates are not properly trained due to which they suffer a lot in practical life. He called for devising the training of the students as per the needs of the society.
