Over eight cases of armed robberies, burglaries and auto theft have deprived the residents of capital of eight vehicles including bikes besides, millions of rupees in cash and kinds during the last week in the heavily guarded city.
People from the different parts of the city while talking to Business Recorder complained that vehicles theft, robberies and other crimes, causing losses worth millions, had become a routine matter in the city, but police high-ups were acting as silent spectators and unable to trace criminals in most of the cases.
According to data gathered from different police station, the worst-hit areas were within the limits of Aabpara, Margalla and Kohsar police stations followed by Sihala Police Station during last week.
During the last week Aabpara Police Station registered two cases of robbery, one case of auto theft and a case of road accident in which a person lost his life. Unknown men have stolen gold ornaments from the mother of Mohsin Ali from the premises of Capital Development Authority (CDA) hospital while, Aftab Hussain resident of sector G-6/2 lodged a complaint with Aabpara Police Station that gold ornament, USP, TV and other valuables have been stolen from his house costing Rs 1,78000.
