Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) had announced the list of its candidates for the local bodies' polls in Cantonment Boards of the city to be held on April 25 this current month.
According to PPP Sindh Chapter, Information Secretary Syed Waqar Mehdi, those, who would contest the polls included Kamal Khan for ward-1 of Faisal Cantonment Board, Hamza Abrar for ward-2, M Yousuf Ghauri ward-4, Faraz Ahmed fro ward-5, Salimuddin for ward-6 and Jawaid Khosso for ward-10 of the same Board.
For the Clifton Cantonment Board, Muhammad Shafiq, Ameer Shah, Abdul Hameed Chandio, Zulfiqar Bhutto, Naveed Ahmed Abro, Ashfaq Memon and Muhammad Akram Mishori would contest the polls for wards 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10.
The PPP would support independent candidates Farhan Wazeer for ward-1 and Major Zafar (retd) for ward-9 in the same Board.
Ashraf Abbas, Waqar Awan, Imtiaz Khattak would be PPP's candidates for wards 1, 4 and 5 of Karachi Cantonment Board. Abdul Ghafoor Jokhio would be PPP's candidate for ward-2 of Malir Cantonment Board while Saleem Awan would be contesting the polls for ward-1 of Korangi Kreek Cantonment Board.
