Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq on Saturday criticised Muttahida Qaumi Movement, labelling it as a `fascist' political party. He was speaking at a camp of Islami Jamiat Talaba's (IJT) Nazimeen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa set up at Markaz-e-Islami. JI Secretary Shabir Ahmad Khan and IJT's provincial Nazim Shah Zaman Durrani were also present on the occasion.
Accusing MQM of indulging in hooliganism during ongoing electioneering campaign in NA-246 (Karachi) constituency, he said that it was a challenge for both Sindh government and the Election Commission of Pakistan and hence the institutions responsible for the rule and supremacy of law should provide justice.
Talking about the country's existing education system, the JI chief said that his party after coming into power will abolish class-based education system to introduce a unified system.
He said that JI is an enlightened Islamic democratic political party and as such the party neither imposes its views on others nor allows others to do so.
The JI chief was of the opinion that those who could not tolerate Islamic slogans should either migrate to London or to the United States.
