ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Saturday preferred not to comment on UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash's statement who reportedly warned Pakistan of paying "a heavy price" for taking on what he called an "ambiguous stand" on Yemen issue. "We don't have confirmation of what exactly has been said and by whom. There are different versions. I have no comments at the moment," said Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam through a text message to Business Recorder.
However, sources maintained that explanation could be called through the diplomatic channels from the concerned UAE authorities to verify the statement attributed to UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, which is also available on his official verified twitter account in Arabic language.
