Return of PTI legislators to parliament: Ministers' criticism to hurt credibility of PML-N: Khurshid
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has returned to assemblies after all its demands, including establishment of a judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections, were accepted.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Khursheed Shah said that criticism of ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) ministers over PTI's return to the assemblies was unjustified and it hurts credibility of their own party more than the rival party.
Commenting over the letter written by the former chief justice to the National Assembly Speaker, he questioned Iftikhar Chaudhry's silence on PTI resignations for eight months. He said it was good for political norms that resignations of PTI parliamentarians were not accepted. The opposition leader said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will remain neutral in the by-election in NA-246 in Karachi.
Khurshid Shah said that a consensus resolution of parliament on the Yemen issue was reflective of people's sentiments.
Regarding the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reaction on Pakistan's resolution on the Yemen issue, Shah said his party was awaiting the Foreign Ministry statement on the issue.
He expressed his ignorance about Nabeel Gabol's contacts with the PPP leadership.
