The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday arrested a Pakistani citizen Naveed Shahzad for facilitating Burmese drug smuggler. Sources said that Naveed was in contact with Burmese drug smuggler, Ibrahim Kako and he helped the foreigner to acquire fake domicile from district Khushab of Punjab and later managed to get Pakistani passport of the country's embassy in Thailand.
The foreigner drug smuggler was brought to Pakistan through bogus documents and without fulfilling the legal procedure.
Interior Minister Chuadhry Nisar Ali Khan while taking the notice of occurrence had directed the authorities concerned to bring the culprits involved in the issue to book and Naveed Shahzad's arrest also came under interior minister's directives.
Sources said that the Interior Minister was likely to unveil the names of the FIA and interior ministry officers involved in the malpractice in an important press conference during next 48 hours.
