A constable Waqar Ali of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elite Police force has been awarded on his all-round best performance in a National Counter Terrorism Course. A three-week National Counter Terrorism Course was conducted at Training Centre Pabbi Hills Kharian. Several jawans of Army and civil armed forces of the country took part in the said course.
Constable Waqar Ali of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elite force also participated in the said course and adjudged Al-round best cadet in the category of physical training.
The passing-out parade of the course was held at Pabbi Hills Kharian Training Centre the other day. Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who was the chief guest on the occasion awarded constable Waqar Ali on his Al-round best performance as best physical and best runner of the course.
It may be recalled that different training courses had been initiated for the capacity-building of the forces of the country to effectively combat terrorism. As a front line force against terrorism the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were actively participating in these courses and earning good names for the force by excelling in all formation of the training.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani lauded the efforts of KP police in the field of training and felt pride on the hard work of the jawans.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani has awarded Kohat, Mansehra and Swat police on excellent performance against terrorists, target killers and dacoits in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar on Monday.
The Mansehra police in a successful action carried out at Kashmiri Bazar Mansehra had arrested a notorious target killer Ahmad Ali alias Papo Shah Kashmiri s/o Muhammad Abdul Baqi.
The accused after killing the Orangi Pilot Project, Karachi Director Miss Parveen Rahman decamped from Karachi and took shelter in Mansehra.
The provincial government of Sindh had also fixed a head money of Rs 2.5 million on the accused. Similarly, the Kohat Police in an action had arrested one dacoit within an hour after the occurrence and recovered the stolen property 16 tolas golden ornaments, 16 pairs of clothes, 3 pistols 30 bore along with rounds, one rifle along with 20 rounds and two magazine and Suzuki vehicle used in the dacoity incident.
While the Swat police had arrested 6 accused and recovered 15 million rupees from them stolen on gun point form a currency dealer. The accused were arrested from Karachi and were also found involved in different crimes committed in Karachi.
Addressing the ceremony the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the performance of Mansehra, Kohat and Swat police in the above mentioned cases.
On this occasion the IGP awarded the police officers and jawan with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
They included Mansehra police DSP HQs Zulfiqar Jadoon, SHO Police Station Khushal Khan, Incharge Quick Response Force Sub Inspector Platoon Commander Mazhar Hussain Shah, Head Constable Muhammad Ishfaq, Constable Special Police Force Arif, Elite Force Head Constable Waheed and Head Constable Mumtaz while Kohat police SHO Police Station Lachi Inspector Saadat Khan and Constables Miran Shah, Ishfaq and Swat Police DSP Kabal Hussain Badshah, Inspector Afsar Zaman and SHO Police Station Kanju Muhammad Siraj.
Personal Staff Officer (PSO) to IGP Dr. Mustafa Tanveer was also present on this occasion.
