Children's Literature Festival (CLF) is conducting a story-telling event in collaboration with the Government of Punjab for public schools' children on Tuesday (today). Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashood will also attend the event and will conduct an interactive story telling session with the children present at the venue.
The Dubai Cares team, which is currently visiting Pakistan, headed by Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares Tariq Mohammad Saleh Al Gurg will also join the event in support of the CLF slogan "Unlocking the Power of Reading".
Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) team is conducting these sessions simultaneously which are based on stories from the Dubai Cares Reading Kit. The purpose of this exercise is to introduce the children to the reading material produced by Dubai Cares.
Dubai Cares has been working extensively in Pakistan, reaching out to 4,028 schools and 1,035,300 beneficiaries since 2008. The education programmes focused on girls' education and vulnerable groups have spanned across different areas of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
