A handing over ceremony for the Project for Provision of Medical Equipment for Blood-related Diseases to Fatimid Foundation was held at Fatimid Foundation in Karachi, with the presence of Akira Ouchi, Consul General of Japan in Karachi and Lt General Moin Uddin Haider (retd), Chairman Fatimid Foundation.
The Government of Japan extended a grant of $83,755 for the provision of a coagulation analyzer, a cell separator and two medical freezers under its grant assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme, for which the grant contract was signed in September 2014. The equipment will allow the diagnosis and treatment services for the patients of blood-related diseases to significantly improve not only at the Karachi clinic but also at other Fatimid clinics in rural Sindh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Akira Ouchi, Consul General of Japan expressed his great pleasure in the speedy realization of this project and sincerely hoped that the new equipment will greatly contribute to the betterment of treatment of the people suffering from blood-related diseases and wished that this project would strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and Pakistan.-PR
