The process of the registration of printing presses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa formally began as president, Frontier Printers and Publishers Association Zafar Rehman Khattak submitted registration forms with Director, Information.
A representative delegation of the association met the Director Information here in his office on Tuesday. Other members of the delegation were included patron-in-chief, Islamuddin Khaksar, Deputy Secretary Abdul Hafeez, Haji Zahid and Shazullah.
The delegation while agreeing to the registration of printing presses informed the Director Information regarding their problems.
The delegation also stressed for provision of alternative place to shift printing presses from Mohallah Jangi. They also called for the selection of only registered printing presses for printing and publishing of official matters.
The Director Information assured the delegation that their all genuine problems will be brought in the notice of the government and said that the registration will help in pinpointing those involved in the publishing of illegal materials and the printing industry will come under the legal procedure.
