"The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) will soon arrange Job Mela at the Expo Centre to provide proper jobs to its students. In this expo, the Chambers of Commerce and Industries, trade organisations, multi-national companies will exhibit their stall for the pass-outs ready information."
Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh stated this during a meeting of zonal and district managers about the placements at the TEVTA Secretariat here on Wednesday. He said to ensure job placement of its pass-outs, his company has initiated demand-driven short courses.
"The next phase of the short courses will start in June in which new demand-driven courses are being proposed by the industry. Necessary arrangements are also being made to provide trainings and certifications at par with international standards so that our trained workers could get easy employment in international market."
He also said trained manpower is urgently needed in the Middle East. "Tevta is making efforts to maintain contact with foreign countries to provide them trained manpower.
