ECP postpones election in PP-87 due to death of a candidate
MIANWALI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Tuesday postponed elections in PP-87 constituency following the death of Ahmed Khan, a candidate of Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party.
District Returning Officer/D&SJ Muhammad Sheraz Kiani has issued a notification. Elections in this constituency would be held after general elections, the official said.
Ahmed Khan, son of Muhammad Zaman Khan of Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party, passed away on Monday. At least 11 candidates including Aftab Aslam Khan (MMA), Ahmed Khan Bachar (PTI), InshaAllah (AAT), Ali Haider (PML-N), Muhammad Khalid (PPP), Malik Munir (TL), Qari Shifa Ullah (TLI), Ahmed Khan (PJDP), Muhammad Rafi Ullah, Aisha Samia Niazi and Bostan Khan (IND) were contesting for such seat.
