Former governor and senior member of the PTI, Mohammad Sarwar has accused "corrupt politicians of constantly plundering" the state's ideology and foundation. He told to party candidates of the Cantonment Board Elections Tanzila Imran, Ghazala Javed, Doctor Anisa and other delegates on Thursday that the government's interference in the Cantonment Board Elections would never be tolerated and "it is against the principles democracy".
He said, "The parties whose foundations revolve around illogical and baseless policies are portraying the role of 'political villains' in our state where the essence of nationalism and patriotism has been forgotten. The PTI will rise above all biases and will soon unveil the tactics being adopted by other political parties to rig the general elections 2013."
He was optimistic about the municipal elections, saying the defeat of corrupt in Pakistan was evident but aired his concern over the current dysfunctional state of Pakistan. "Pakistan has always been surrounded with the shadow of elite adjustment and plutocracy. Politicians and dictators have supported each other's stances at the cost of the nation's integrity. Our motherland has constantly been experimented with several govts of constitutions all of which have failed to provide an 'adequate' and 'effective' solution."
He vowed that his party would eradicate element of corruption from the political infrastructure. "Pakistan needs us. Our nation is in a state of uncertainty where political villains have disfigured its image as a self-identifying state. Absence of accountability, incompetent judiciary and constitutional supremacy has given birth to corruption and plunder. In these hard times, the Pakistanis need to resist this unscrupulous paradigm and unite together to reform Pakistan into a fair, transparent and sovereign country," he added.
