Jail authorities in Sialkot and Karachi on Friday received death warrants of six condemned prisoners for executions next week. Sialkot district jail officials received death warrants of four prisoners who would be sent to gallows on April 21 and 22.
Officials of Karachi central jail received black warrants for Azam and Moinuddin, who are both convicted of murder. These two prisoners are scheduled to be executed on April 23.
Around 60 hardened criminals have been executed since December last year when Islamabad lifted a moratorium on death penalties after brutal attack on Army Public School in Peshawar.
