Behind the scenes of Nora Fatehi recreating Sushmita Sen’s ‘Dilbar’
The latest recreation of Sushmita Sen’s iconic number ‘Dilbar’ from the movie ‘Sirf Tum’ has shattered many records. The song has been trending on number 3 spot on Billboards YouTube Channel and became the only Bollywood song with the fastest 100 million views.
The makers have now released the behind-the-scenes video of the song, in which Nora Fatehi can be seen showing off her belly dancing skills like a pro.
Producer Bhushan Kumar, who first came up with the idea of recreating ‘Dilbar’ for ‘Satyameva Jayate’ says, “We are ecstatic by this huge achievement that Dilbar has achieved. We would like to thank Neha, Nora, Dhvani, Tanishk, Nikhil, director Milap [Milan Zaveri], John [Abraham] and choreographer Adil [Shaikh] for making the song what is with passion and hard work. The song is a proof that recreated songs work when there is proper thought and strategy behind it,” Indian media reported.
The Moroccan-Canadian dancer, who choreographed as well as performed on the song told Firstpost in an interview, “I put myself under pressure because Sushmita Sen ma’am herself is an icon and the song is iconic too. I saw how previous remakes were being trashed and given negative reviews.”
After ‘Dilbar’ Nora will also be seen grooving in a special dance number in Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’.
