Imam-e-Kaaba, Sheikh Kahlid Bin Ali Al-Ghamdi is due to arrive here tomorrow (Thursday). Sources said that Imam-e-Kaaba, who is expected to remain in the country for about six days, will meet Pakistani leadership. During his stay in the country, he would also meet the leadership of political and religious parties to discuss the Middle East situation particularly the Yemen crisis. He would be a special guest of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif who would also host a reception in his honour.
The sources further said that Imam-e-Kaaba, Sheikh Kahlid Bin Ali Al-Ghamdi would lead a Friday prayer. The high level exchanges between the two countries have been intensified following the Saudi led Gulf countries alliance launched an operation in Yemen against Houthis. Since then two, two high level Pakistani delegations have been visited the Kingdom while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected to leave for Riyadh on Thursday. Saudi Arabia had requested Pakistan to send aircraft, navy vessels and ground troops against the Houthis in Yemen.
