Doctors, nurses, paramedical staff: 'Punjab finalises policy for timely promotions'
"Punjab Health department has finalised a policy for timely promotions of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in accordance with the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif." This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique while addressing a function held by Young Nursing Association, LGH here on Thursday.
Professor Anjum Habib Vohra, DG Nursing Rukhsana Kamal, MS LGH Dr Saeed Soban, Farhat Mahboob, Razia Bano, Shahnaz Fazal, Shahnaz Dar and other staffers were also present on the occasion. Khawaja Salman while addressing the participants has said that Punjab government also constituted a strategy to impart medical training on modern lines to doctors and paramedics so as to provide best available medical health care to masses. This policy would be carried out in letter and spirit in future, he assured.
He said that now it is the foremost duty of the medical staff and doctors to discharge their responsibilities with more efficiency and dedication. Principal PGMI Professor Anjum Habib Vohra said that Punjab Health department has promoted 1211 nurses who were recruited between 1986 to 1993, to grade 17 on the posts of head nurses which is appreciable. He said this step of Punjab government would surely improve the standard of services rendered by medical staff in line of serving the ailing humanity.
DG nursing Rukhsana Kamal also stressed upon the students to perform their duties with zeal and passion after their demands have been accepted by the government. She also praised the services of Salman Rafique who has always been very supportive and helpful for the cause of the nurses.
