PML-N senior leader Mohammad Pervaiz Malik on Saturday said the PML-N-led government is putting its best efforts to put the country on the path of progress and prosperity and days are not far when Pakistan would be standing tall in the comity of developed nations. Bringing improvement in living standard of the people is one the priorities of the government and repeated cuts in petroleum prices is an ample proof of the present regime's efforts in this regard, Malik said while addressing a public gathering here on Saturday.
The PML-N leader said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif want to make Pakistan as an "Asian Tiger" and hub of trade and economic activities. He said that recent discovery of huge minerals in Chiniot is a blessing of Almighty Allah. These resources would certainly help Pakistan to start a new journey towards self-reliance, he added.
He further said the PML-N government inherited energy crisis but all resources are being materialized for early resolution of the issue of energy shortage. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has launched a number of programmes which would generate thousands of jobs and strengthen the economy. He said, "Those who are creating a scene by giving an impression of a big political alliance are living in a fool's paradise. Rejected politicians cannot succeed."
