Son of Agriculture Officer appealed the government and higher authority to save the life of his father who was arrested and detained illegally by Qasimabad Police Station since late night of April 28. Aakash Kumar Oad s/o Premchand Oad was addressing the press conference held at Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday. He was flanked by his lawyer Mashuque Ali Burigari and Social Activist Punhal Sario.
"Since his arrest, neither police is producing him in the court nor releasing despite of repeated orders issued by court," he said. SHO Qasimabad Police, Shareef Khoso said the victim would be released, if he agreed to vacate the house by demolishing it, he said while quoting him. It is the matter of dispute over the plot of 1,500 ft, while matter was in the court since 2012, Oad said, adding "Khoso took a side of complainant and is pressuring us to vacate the house rather than letting the court to decide the matter."
"The case over the matter is in the court against seven persons but only one is being victimized, why? Because we are Hindu," he asked, saying "I am scared that the police might cause any harm to life of my father," he added. Social Activist Punhal Sario said police should let the court to decide the matter rather than involving itself.
Mashuqe Ali Burgari said it was civil suit and police should not interfere in the matter until the court did not decide. "We urged to higher authority to extend all types of support to recover his father from illegal custody of Qasimabad Police."
Earlier, District and Session Judge Hyderabad issued orders on Saturday to SHO Qasimabad to register the FIR of the matter and investigate and intimate to court. He was hearing the case regarding the production of Premchand Oad in the court and issued such orders when SHO Qasimabad failed to produce him in the court.
