The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah on Saturday launched a courier service to deliver the passports at the doorsteps of the Pakistani expatriates living within the Consulate's jurisdiction. Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society Dr Saeed Illahi and Consul General Aftab A Khokher inaugurated the courier service in a ceremony held at the Consulate, said a press release received here.
The passports delivery system has been started in collaboration with courier service providers Aramax and UPS. The Pakistani expatriates who visit the Consulate from far flung areas can now collect their passports at offices of Aramax and UPS in their own cities. Elaborating this service, Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher informed the participants of the ceremony that it would be optional for the community to avail this service by paying a nominal fee. The expatriates can now save their time and money they used to spend on visiting the Consulate again for collecting their passports, he added.
Chairman PRCS Dr Saeed Illahi congratulated the Consul General for introducing this landmark service and mentioned that Jeddah Consulate has adopted service oriented approach and many Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia would benefit this service. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of people from Pakistani community.
