The IAP organises Super Final Match every year between the finalists of Karachi and Lahore based members teams in connection with celebrations of Insurance Day. This year Super Final was played (yesterday) on 5th May 2015 at Vital Five Club, DHA College Ground, Khyaban-e-Rahat, DHA, Karachi between SPI Insurance (Lahore based) and EFU Life (Karachi based). The SPI Insurance won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 129 runs in 10 overs after loss of 3 wickets. Mr Zahid of SPI Insurance played a marvellous inning and scored 74 runs including 3 fours 8 sixes and earned Man of the Match award.
The EFU Life tried hard to achieve the big target but could score 85 runs after loss of 7 wickets. The SPI Insurance won the trophy and became insurance industry's cricket champion for the year 2015.
Mr Mahmood Lotia, Chairman, IAP, Captain Azhar Ehtesham Ahmed, Senior Vice Chairman IAP, Mr Naim Anwar, Chief IAP Cricket Co-ordination Committee (CCC), Mr Tahir Ahmed, Chairman, Insurance Day Committee of IAP, Mr Atiq A. Mahmudi, Member Executive Committee IAP, Mr Taher G. Sachak, Member Executive Committee IAP, Mr Abdul Majeed, Executive Director, SPI Insurance, Mr Munirul Haq, SVP & Branch Head, Jubilee General Insurance, Mr Akif Malik, Member CCC, Mr Iqbal Qazi, Member CCC, Mr Naseem Qureshi, Member CCC, Mr N.A. Usmani, Secretary General IAP and various other executives and officers from the industry were present at the occasion. The Chairman IAP awarded trophy to the winning team, the Senior Vice Chairman to the runner up team. The Chief CCC presented Man of the Match award to Mr Zahid of SPI Insurance.
