That an election tribunal has disqualified PML-N's railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq because of massive irregularities in the NA-125 constituency in 2013 general elections is a development that has lent a great deal of legitimacy to the argument of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
It is, however, interesting to note that Saad Rafiq is said to have been mulling the apex court for 'relief' because the petitioner, Hamid Khan of PRI, had failed to substantitate allegations of vote rigging. The former 'Kaptan' has nevertheless got one of the key players of Nawaz Sharif's team, Saad Rafiq, out in a match of fluctuating fortunes.
