Two persons were killed and 10 others injured when unknown gunmen attacked people during a football match in a school ground here on Wednesday. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, leaders of the political parties condemned the attack. Political Agency said that unknown miscreants hurled hand grenades and opened firing at people watching football match in Alizai School in Kurram Agency.
The security personnel tried to stop the alleged terrorist upon which one suicide bomber blew himself while other was killed in firing of security forces. Two people were killed and about 10 others sustained wounds in hand grenades attack and firing of attackers. The injured were shifted to Agency Headquarters Hospital where condition of some wounded people was stated to be serious.
The political administration said that over 150 students were present in the ground. However, terrorists were intercepted before reaching their targets. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, leaders of different political parties including ANP, JUI-F, PTI, JI and others have condemned the suicide attack in Kurram Agency. Nawaz said that the terrorists through such attack could not weaken the government's resolve to curb the menace of terrorism from the country and the security forces continue operation against them till the last terrorist was killed.
