The death row prisoner Saulat Mirza will be executed in Central Jail Machh in Bolan district on Tuesday early morning. Superintendent Machh Jail Quetta, Yaqoob Zehri told APP that farewell meeting of the family members including his wife, son, brothers and sisters with the convict had already been taken place.
He said strict security arrangements have been made in and around the prison and additional pickets have been set up on the road leading to the jail. Jail administration has finalised arrangements for execution of the murder convict, he added. He said Judicial Magistrate Machh Hadayattullah would supervise the execution process. According to the prosecution, convict Saulat Mirza had been found involved in murder of former Managing Director Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Shahid Hamid, his driver Ashraf Brohi and guard Khan Akbar in July 1997.
