Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaquat Baloch has asked federal government not to make China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) controversial like Kalabagh Dam and avoids talking benefit of Punjab province only.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the office bearers of JI at the residence of Arshad Khan in Charsadda on Sunday. The meeting reviewed local bodies' polls in district Charsadda and congratulated Arshad Khan on his nomination as member central political committee JI.
On this occasion, provincial general secretary JI, KP Shabir Ahmad Khan, district ameer, Misbahullah, Mohammad Ashad Khan, Javed Khan, Pir Masood Jan, Haroon Khan, Noor Hussain, Qari Shafiullah, Taj Wali Shah, Rizwanullah Ahmadzai and others were also present.
The secretary general JI said that CPEC is not the name of a road, but it also included electricity production projects, Gawadar international highway, Gawadar sea port and construction of different roads.
