Pakistan Peoples' Party President in the Punjab Manzoor Wattoo has claimed that the Punjab is being driven on the principle of "might is right". In his speech to lawyers after praying for the dead in Daska, he said, "The country is in the grip of fear because of unbridled acts of the Punjab police. The Punjab government is abstaining from publicising the Judicial Commission report on the Model Town tragedy to save its skin. Instead, the rulers in the Punjab have got exonerated themselves through a joint investigation team but the public is not ready to accept it."
He also criticised the Punjab government for sidelining the honest and efficient officers with good repute. "The law and order in the province is getting worst because of wrong economic and social priorities.
